Help with bug control in my house?

there's these little tiny bugs that fly around, like no bigger than a speck, and there's tons of them they gather around old pop cans... sugar that's left out that kind of thing. we cleaned it all up and the bugs are still clinging around.. and they're PISSING ME OFF anyone that has this problem please tell me how i can get rid of them!!!!Help with bug control in my house?
hey. paul has an inventive idea, but thats if they are fruit flies. and they may but,, you have to ask yourself how long have you left thes cans and sugar and basic foods. if they have been there sitting for more than a week, then its possible. but if its within a day. they are most likely drain flies. they manifest in the drain and they feed of things around the house. a lot of people mistake drain flies with fruit flies, honestly i believe they are the same thing. (ive been in pest control for a while)





what i would try is pour a cup of straight bleach down your kitchen sink. or any sink that they are around. usually its the kitchen. but heres the tricky part. since all your pipes are connected, you have to plug all other drains in the house including the tubs. now, i would not use the standard drain plugs. the best is a wet wash cloth over each drain. also if you have a garbage desposal, run that after you pour the bleach. and if you have a two drain kitchen sink, pour a 1/2 of bleach down each.





wait a good 15 minutes and run hot water through.





this is all of course if you are sure they are not fruit flies. you only get fruit flies with trash and rotting food laying around for more than a week. and if that is the case.. CLEAN YOUR HOUSE.. lol.. that will solve the problem.

OH and standing water in the sink or dishes that havent been done can cause this.. and with undone dishes, within 3 days this can happen. so no worries.. if your a bachalor thats normal. hell you should have seen my first apt.. lol.Help with bug control in my house?
If they are fruit flies the way I get rid of them is to put an old piece of fruit in my trash can that has a plastic liner in it. After awhile all the flies are in the can on the fruit. I gently close the trash bag with them inside and take it outside. If the trash can is near the door you can just gently move it outside, then shake it up for the flies to leave.
