Is there any spray to control bed bugs?

Yes go on ebay they sell it there. Just put 'Bed Bug Spray' in the search and see what comes up. You will save money too. BTW, last year I thought I had bed bugs but it just wound up being a bad year for ticks that were biting me in my sleep. It took me a while to figure it out cause I moved to a new apartment in the country and I thought this place had bedbugs. So I bought the stuff on ebay. Coincidentally, I had a tick on my leg tonight while lying in bed tossing and turning with the humidity and all- it got me on my computer at 2:30 AM to answer this question!

How can I kill and control the infestation of box elder bugs?

The bug come from the elder trees. They are black with a red stripe down the back. They seem to be attracted to wood and heat. How can I kill and control the infestation of box elder bugs?

I just killed 8 box elder trees, which is the first step in bug removal. Simply bore holes w/ a 1-2'; wide spade bore bit into near the tree's base (two holes per tree) 8-12'; down, fill holes w/ Roundup CONCENTRATE, not the regular stuff. Wait a few months and pull the trees out, easy as that.

The most effective (and safe) thing I've discovered is Windex. Yup, reular Windex. It kills them almost on contact and leaves no toxins or residue. Once it dries, it won't keep killing, but at least you'll get a sense of satisfaction when you go out there and blast 'em.

Yeah, a friend of mine has a camp with a wood stove in Wisconsin and those things are EVERYWHERE. They hide when it is cold and come out when the place starts to warm up.

I'm sorry. I have no idea. I am just sympathizing.

We just kill as many as we can. I would imagine you would need to tear apart the walls and fumigate the little bastards. Maybe spread some kind of repellent around the perimeter to keep them from coming in.

Good luck.
you can't get spray anymore to kill box elder bugs because of the EPA...but...I live in Utah where they are plentiful...I have found out over the years that if you spray with liquid soap ...0ne pint soap and three gallons of water ....it softens their outer which has a hard finish to which repells poison...and bingo you'll find them dead.....if you find a way to control them let me know...
this sounds crazy, but it works, get a spray bottle, and fill it with water and a little bit of DAWN dish soap, spray around the foundation and doors and windows of you house, don't know what it is, but it kills most of them, and keeps the rest away,

Will pest control really kills water bugs or roaches?

I have lots of big roaches and water bugs and im wondering if pest control would actually kill water bugs? Is it expensive? What else can diminish water bugs? help please! they freak me out so much! Will pest control really kills water bugs or roaches?
A good professional exterminator can get rid of any bug problem. For problems like water bugs and large roaches you will need to be on a regular service plan. These critters tend to be a neighborhood problem. They live and breed outdoors, in sewers, tree hollows, wood piles etc. and come indoors to find sheltered places to lay their eggs. A regular service should cost in the $30 to $40 a month range, with an initial fee of around $100. Make sure to hire a reputable company. Talk to some neighbors and see who they have used. Make sure to read he entire contract before you sign it. Most companies provide a warranty and will perform extra services for free when needed. Will pest control really kills water bugs or roaches?
We use some stuff from Zep Mfg. (look in the phone book) that works really well. You spray around the baseboards , in closets, behind stove, frig etc. It lasts quite a while then if you start seeing them again; spray again (this is what the pest control does anyhow) it is also an immediate killer if you spray it on them (BTW so is Bam, the cleaning product) Bugs walk thru the Zep stuff and clean themselves and die.A product at Wal Mart espcially for the outside of the house (Ask there)for every one you see, 10 are hidden.

I've just watched a DVD movie Bug last night and it was horrifying. Are you sure you're not just thinking it?Anyone has practical answers as to how to control and eradicate bed bugs menace?
I would think you would have to buy the spray like you use for head lice and such lice.Spray everything that you can..wash all bedding...bedspreads,mattress pads,everything..in hot water..TWICE!!!After you have all removed for washing, then spray..vaccum alot, and vaccum some more!Empty vaccum and wash what you can on that!!!
You must call in a proffesional. They are the only ones who can determine if it really is bed bugs, and find all the places they can hide. They don't just live in your mattress. They hide in cracks and carpets, other furniture, just about every where. Due to the great amount of world travel, even the best hotels get them. They tend to hitch a ride home in your luggage. They can live for months without food, and no amount of over the counter bug spray will get rid of them all. call orkin.
they're hard to kill...its a given that you'll need to dump your entire bed and get a new one...but if you have carpets they could be in there too and you'll need to rip them out. They're not like fleas which can be killed pretty easily...

You also need to know the extent of the contamination...that's very important. Hire a professional who has lots of experience in bed bugs and call his references!!
call an exterminator.. then get a new bed/mattress

How do you get rid of ';no-see-em,bit-em'; bugs without using a pest control company?

I'm in a situation were I'm having to stay in a room at a friends home. I'm being bitten at night while I'm sleeping. I don't see anything. Things are clean, I vaccum every couple days. This statred when I was asked not to use bleach in the wash water, I've since use bleach again, but the problem is still there. Most bits are happening on my lower legs. Thank you.How do you get rid of ';no-see-em,bit-em'; bugs without using a pest control company?
a couple of remedies that may work if they are bugs and you are not having a sensitive reaction to something.

AVON, has a lotion and oil, called SKIN so SOFT (original scent only), it makes for a great bug repellent and lasts forever.

Also, if you go and pick up a container of Flea Powder (general used ON dogs) and sprinkle it all over the floor and leave for a short time, that should get rid of or force any animal pests to move else were.

If it could be ants, they hate the smell on Cinnamon, and Cinnamon sticks placed around the room or by floor boards will force them to move also.

If you could be having an allergic reaction, pick up a small tube of Hydro-cortizone, and that should fix that, and will get rid of the current bites or irritations you already have. How do you get rid of ';no-see-em,bit-em'; bugs without using a pest control company?
If there's a bedskirt, take it off, or lift it a couple inches above the ground. Nothing from your bed should touch the ground except the 4 legs of it. Check your mattress for brown spots, which may be **** from some kind of bug. Learn if the bug is in the mattress, or coming from elsewhere. Look behind the headboard for webs, ****, etc. Spray bug spray on window sills, doors, etc.

today on a home show, they were putting salt on the carpet, then sweeping it like the next day..this is new to me, so good luck whatever you choose to do.
Could be fleas! Get a flea bomb and set it off in the morning before you leave. Close the door and when you come home any bug in there will be dead!

  • What is a good way to do pest control without harming the bugs?

Geez! People act like real jerks / haters here. Look, if you don't like her question, then DON'T answer it! And if you're gonna be a punk about it, at least know how to spell words like ';phrase';.

If you don't want to harm the bugs (for whatever reason- that's your right), then like another submitter said, you need to take away the incentive for the bugs to be in your house / living quarters. Keep the place clean (w/ organic cleaners) and don't leave any food out. Seal all windows and cracks w/ weather stripping or insulating foam (comes in a can, sprays out as as foam and expands as it dries). In other words, make it physically harder for the bugs to get in. Lavender is a good deterrent and if I remember correctly, slugs won't cross a copper pipe.

Are you opposed to something else harming the bugs? Spiders and lizards love eating bugs, its their natural food source. If you see'em around, let'em be.What is a good way to do pest control without harming the bugs?
That is a good question! You must duplicate the conditions that are drawing the bugs in the first place. It may be water source or cover, food. First find what kind you have (BUG'S)and then deny them what they thrive on.What is a good way to do pest control without harming the bugs?
wash around and spraay arond the areas that you may have had bugs. another is bugs spray around them it will just chase them away.
The fraze ( Pest Control ) means To Kill Pests. So to answer your question, YOU CAN'T!!!!! The Rubber Duck told you that.
    Invite them into your living room and start telling them about your life in a dull monotone. Before you know it, they'll start fidgeting and looking at their watches and saying ';Oh, look at time. We'd best be going. Let's do this again sometime.';

    You'll never see them again.
netting in a garden, or deterrents like garlic, onion, etc... are also helpful.
without harming the bugs? who cares about the bugs! kill them all!
don't know what kind of bugs you have, but try adding hot pepper (red), thyme and black pepper in a water spray bottle. Thismay work.
The bugs are the pests so why do pest control if you don't want to hurt the bugs Makes no since to me
Let them keep multiplying and infesting until the weather gets cold and they will die on their own.

    Heater control on 1966 Bug?

I have reconnected all the heater hosing, but the heater doesn't work I pull the levier and nothing happens I think the cable might be broken if so how do I get to it? I don't see it under the car.Heater control on 1966 Bug?
Those cables run down the tunnel and come out of the frame forks. They love to rust out and are a pain to repair. Most people just mechanic wire the valves open and open a window if it gets to hot (not likely). But if you want to do the job that web site on the other post will get the job done. The heater valves off the front of the exchangers on the engine are spring loaded to close. Your cable adjustment must be good for the cables to open the valves fully so you get all the heat to get where you want it.

You might want to check the back seat heat and see if both valves are open and bleeding off the heat you want. Then the little sliders for the front heat have to be open. Mine were rusty and packed with debris but worked OK after cleaning and painting.Heater control on 1966 Bug?
Heat to the inside of your bug is completely dependent upon the exhaust manifolds and the valves used to divert air around them. These must be perfect so as not to route exhaust gases ,along with fresh air, into the cabin of your car. The hoses connect the redirected air into channels built into the body and if these channels are rotted through to the outside air-they become completely ineffective. The lever pulls closed the valves that re-direct the air into your cabin. This may be working but if those channels are swiss-cheese, you will never recieve this heated air.
I think heat is theoretical on a 66 bug. ;)

Are you talking about one of the supplemental heat units, that burns fuel?
    Buy yourself a wool coat.
