Step I : Pre-treatment Procedures


Reduce clutter to inspection easier.


If you dismantle the bed frames, you may expose additional bedbug hiding sites.


Remove drawers from desks and dressers and turn furniture over, if possible, to inspect and clean all hiding spots.


Stand up the box spring and shine a flashlight through the gauze fabric to expose bed bugs.If the fabric is torn ( possible hiding place), remove fabric to prepare for spraying.


Caulk and seal all holes where pipes and wires penetrate walls and floor, and fill cracks around baseboards and moldings to further reduce harborages.


Since infested garments and bed linen can't be treated with insecticide they will need to be laundered in hot water (120掳F minimum). If washing is not available, sometimes heating the garments or bed linen for several minutes in a clothes dryer may work.


Thoroughly clean the infested rooms .Scrub infested surfaces with a stiff brush to dislodge eggs.


Vacuum in area of bed bug harborages with an vacuum attachment. Vacuum along baseboards, nearby furniture, bed stands, rails, headboards, footboards,bed seams, tufts, buttons, edges of the bedding as well as the edges of the carpets(particularly along the tack strips) are key areas to vacuum. A good vacuum cleaning job may remove particles from cracks and crevices to encourage greater insecticide penetration.


Discard vacuum cleaner bag in a sealed plastic bag when finished.

Put all mattresses in sunlight for at least 3-4 days during noon hours.


Reduce the cracks/gaps in bed.

If possible do the sunlight treatment to furniture and bed too.


Avoid darkness inside the room during daytime, the more sunlight the less pests/insects.


Sprinkle dry tulsi/neem leaf powder in corners of bed where normally bed bugs live and thrive.

There might also be available some locally made concoctions in your city........but they usually tend to have a very bad and strong odour and might be harmful even to oneself........therefore its always better to hire a known and reliable professional.
bed bugs are like vampire will get u while you sleep. get rid of your bed, sofa ecc... not impossible but ....

there few tips to avoid bugs,like kerosene,or best way you keep some cockroaches b cos they eat bugs its proven remedy.
Put the mattresses and pillows out in the sun - full sun, for a few days. Remember to turn over every day. Thoroughly spray the entire bed frame with insect spray, preferably kerosene based. Wash all the sheets, covers, pillow cases and keep them in the sun too. When you put everything back on the bed keep a few garlic cloves and neem leaves between the bed frame and mattress, and keep neem leaves between the mattress and sheet. Regularly wash all sheets, pillow cases etc and regularly put them out in the sun. You can also spray insect killer regularly but you will be inhaling those same toxic fumes which is not a particularly good idea.


If all else fails, rub your entire body with a little neem oil mixed in coconut oil before you sleep. It stinks but bed bugs, mosquitoes etc will never bite you. Good luck.

Dilute this with kerosene in the proportion of 1:8.


Keep all the kitchen items, food things, drinking water away from home.


Spray with hand pump. Close all the door and windows for 3 hours. All the hidden bugs, insects will vanish. Remember this will have a strong odour for few days.


Maintain to wash your hands thoroughly before taking any food for few days.


Metacid is poisonous. Handle it carefully, keep away from reach of children, discord the remaining pesticide carefully. Any carelessness will lead to legal problems, beware!
