try this start your computer in safe mode, shut down when restart before it boots hit on F8 key ,when you are in safe mode do something ,make sure your keyboard connection is not loose, physically check it.

While you are in safe mode disable Restore system then close all start up programmes %26gt;%26gt;Run%26gt;%26gt;msconfig%26gt;%26gt;click on Start-up Tab %26gt;%26gt;disable all or just unchecked all boxes ,now delete the user account with vi ruse if you had more than one account in your PC as soon as you re start UPDATE your windows,,if you antiviruse is expired it still keeps warms in Quranteen, try to get one of those free antiviruse online like AVG..Good luck

Will the ';Gentrol'; and ';Demand CS'; that my ';Professional Pest Control'; used, get rid of my roaches and bugs?

I moved out of an apartment because there were bed bugs on the 4th floor. (I lived on the 3rd). I had Terminex check my apartment for bed bugs because I didn't want to take any with me when I moved. I told the Terminex guy that I thought I had been bitten once. He looked at one seam of my matress and said that it was my imagination -- and I didn't have bed bugs. He sprayed around my bed to humor me.

We found another house and before I moved in I had pest control come out to treat for both bed bugs and roaches because because I didn't want to deal with ANY pests. We moved in after they sprayed. When they came out for the second treatment, they found that I had a few bedbugs on the seam of my mattress, and roaches were still running around. The PC guy told me that what they use prevents the roaches from reproducing and they eventually die off. How long is eventually? I Want Them Gone!! This is so depressing, that I don't want to cook or eat in the house!

It's been about a month and I'm still dealing with roaches, and I'm not sure about the bed bugs. Is Pest Control using the wrong products? Will the ';Gentrol'; and ';Demand CS'; that my ';Professional Pest Control'; used, get rid of my roaches and bugs?
if you are meaning the German roach (smaller kitchen roach) he should be baiting for them to get rid of them, the Gentrol is an aid that can help break the life cycle...after a month the only dealing should be the occasional dead one found here and there. The Demand is a good general insecticide that is used to treat the entry points and corners to keep insects away.

How do you get rid of bed bugs? Any and all methods accepted besides moving, pest control, or arson.?

bed bugs are gross and they must have been in my place for at least 2 months before I even knew it. I've done a lot of stuff to get rid of them .... What methods besides moving and or hiring an exterminator have worked for you or for someone you know??? I really need to know ... even though they seem to have finally taken the hint and gone away ... Should they decide to come back I want to make sure ';that they is history up in here in my flop.';How do you get rid of bed bugs? Any and all methods accepted besides moving, pest control, or arson.?
Bed bugs are persistent. Getting rid of them requires persistence.

Bed bugs can hide in extremely small cracks and crevices making it difficult to locate breeding sites.

Bed bugs are rarely seen in daylight. They emerge from their hiding spots at night.

Bed bugs can live a year or longer without food (blood) and thus stay in their hiding places.

Bed bugs can travel long distances and survive in suitcases, clothing, vehicles, aircraft, cruise ships and other modes of transportation.

Bed bug females lay about 300 eggs.

Bed bugs hatch from eggs in 10 days.

-steam clean your carpets and couch and get a new matress.

wash clothes and sheets with hot water and then dry at hottest setting and also iron everything . the strong heat will kill themHow do you get rid of bed bugs? Any and all methods accepted besides moving, pest control, or arson.?
it sounds like you have taken care of the problem. Keep doing what you have done and they will not come back. Look up bedbugs on a search engine. I am sure you will find lots of information on the subject.
moving wont stop them since they are in your bedding and matress, well i guess you can leave all that if you wanted to.

Best way to prevent and get rid of bedbugs is washing your sheets biweekly and matress pad monthly and vacuuming the matress help. Wash comforters and blankets every 3-6 months. I usually wash mine around the time I rotate my matress.

As long as you keep your bedding clean you wont have a problem with bedbugs.
Bed bugs live on human blood. They sleep in the matress in day time and then come out at night to feast on humans.

The sure way to rid of bedbugs forever is to enclose your matress in a plastic zip up cover and you pillows too.

Some people even enslose quilts in a plastic shield in infested areas in the third world countries.

Myself, I would prefer a clean sheets daily if living in an infested building
Vacuum the mattress weekly...this will catch any hatching eggs...that should do it.
bed bug %26amp; dustmite are two different problem. To get rid of Bed bug is tough, even with a Pest Control expert! To fight them, you got to clean the infested room (sun it regulary), check every single item for bed bug and kill them with aerosol insecticide with residual ingredient (crawling insect product always has this property), just spray on them once you found them.
This will sound almost too easy. I have had an Oreck vacuum and it removes 99.?% of dust-mites, bed-bugs, mold (almost all of these flow out of your air ducts unless you live in a new place).

Yeah, you got it; I vacuumed my bed.

However, if you do not wash your sheets (twice) in hot water and bleach ( colorfast if needed, of course) it will be all for not.

This includes everything having to do with your bed; all furniture, rails (scrubbed with bleach) and the flooring including everything in your room. Get new sheets if you need them or can afford them; get them anyway.

Oreck does not make a vacuum with attachments but they have do have add-ons (sold separately?).It worked for me. Everyone has them and all I had to do was see them under a black light with magnification to freak me out.

No bug partners in my bed.

It's not as much work as it sounds and I sleep tons and tons easier at night.

Good Luck,

Frank B.
Wash the bedding with ammonia. Caution do not use any bleach or washing powder with bleach in it at the same time. Set of a fumigator bomb in the area where the bed is and leave the house for two or three hours, whatever the can of fumigator calls for. Air out the house when you get back.
i dont know where to get it, but burn sulfer in the bedrooms with the doors closed.

I am looking for free content like games, scripts etc, that deal with bugs to add to my pest control website.

I own Zebra Pest Control http://www.zebrapest.com and am looking for free add ons (that I don't already have) that would make sense for my website. If anyone could give me an address for for content, bug games, etc.. I would appreciate it. If you have time to check out the site and make sugesstions I would also appreciate it.

actually, you got a pretty good looking web page.

whats up with the search box though? are you trying to get affiliates, link exchanges, and click through money? i could understand a freelancer or a blogger doing this, but not a professional commercial business.

if it's possible, you should limit the search tool to search YOUR web site only.

there's actually a lot of stuff to look at on your page, and some really great photos. maybe you should have some of the state university extension stuff for your articles section?

Rental Business: Bed bugs found by tenant. Who should pay the pest control company in this case..?

Hi, I am landlord. The tenant in a triplex called me earlier mentioning he has bed bugs. The tenant also mentioned he knows how the bed bugs got there - he went to visit a lady who had bed bugs and probably carried some in his cloth back to his unit. It should cost around $500 to treat his unit and 2 other units (as it is a triplex all units should be treated). Unfortunately, I'm not sure he has the money to pay even if he had to. Still, I wanted to ask who should pay the pest control company?

me, the tenant or maybe 50/50? THANKS.Rental Business: Bed bugs found by tenant. Who should pay the pest control company in this case..?
He brought them in, so how and why are you in anyway responsible?Rental Business: Bed bugs found by tenant. Who should pay the pest control company in this case..?
Bedbugs are a tenant responsibility. You are aware how this infestation occurred, and it is the tenant's responsibility to pay for his error. It may not be necessary to treat all units if this is caught early on. Naturally, a pest control company will tell you that you should, but bedbugs are generally restricted to the unit they have infested.
Im not too sure what a triplex is, so forgive me if I make a poor judgment..

However based on my knowledge as a landlord, if my tenant has a pest issue and has claimed direct responsibility for such, then any costs involved in sorting out the problem will be at a full cost to him.

If he doesn't have the money and you want it remedied immediately then go ahead, but it should be added to the rent account, or taken from his deposit at the end of his tenancy.

Good luck
I would think he has to pay it since he admits it was his fault. If he cannot pay for it out of pocket, could you take it out of his security deposit assuming you had him pay one when moving in? I would think that would be fair.
TENANT!!!!!!

I am so BUGGED Out by this situation..? have no control?

ok whole story short my husband was away from me for 4 months. one month before i move with him he opens a myspace account.he doesn't tell me. but he had an email account which he thought i was never going to find out but i did and he had myspace friends requests in there. so i ask him gimmi ur password to myspace. he flat out denies opening it. like it openend by itself. so i get his password sent to his email. and on his profile he was 18 m single doesn;t want kids. i was pissed but there was nothing else on there in sent folders or trash or inbox except one email written to him after 5 days opening the account. it wasn't spam because i seen other spam emails.i am not over it because he denied it. he said he wanted to see if i had one. he said this after a month of me bragging. what the hell do uthink is going on. i am done talking. no trust why hide stuff. ok the email that he got goes sumting liek this. do u think he contacted this person. more detailsI am so BUGGED Out by this situation..? have no control?
it really sounds more like spam to me, i get those all the time. but if you are worried, try talking to him about it, grown adult married couples really shouldn't have a my space account it usually will cause nothing but drama and is pointless, but that is just my opinion, save it for the high school and college students.I am so BUGGED Out by this situation..? have no control?
Honestly, it doesn't sound like you need to be too concerned. Especially if there was no activity other than that one message after 5 days. Even the message you showed wouldn't upset me too much...if you have a MySpace account you know yourself the b/s messages that come.

Are there trust issues in your relationship causing you to dig so much?? He probably denied the password b/c he wants you to trust him. I trust mine...but if I want to look too deep and make something be there...we could all find dirt to make it look worse than it is.

I would just calm down. If he was only hiding an empy MySpace account...you don't have too much to be suspicious of.
sounds like hes a bit sneaky i couldnt put up with that
I have a myspace and so does my husband. He got his first and I was kinda worried about it...but then I got one and I love it! It is a great place to meet old friends. I have his password cause he is in Iraq and can't read it but sometimes there are friend requests from half naked women and they are all spam! Every single one of those requests is SPAM!!! You have nothing to worry about!
I get those on my myspace page too. they are spam.
that email is crap. my hubby got one just like that sent to his myspace and it's spam. the real issue here is that he lied to you and was hiding things, for whatever reason. i wouldn't trust my hubby either if he opened an email account and myspace and didn't tell me. however, did you ever ask him if he had a myspace?
Please get professional help....
After having a myspace account for quite a while, I didn't even delete it, but I left it alone after getting crap like that. But then again, I showed my husband personally what that person had written me, and he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I wasn't lying to him or cheating on him. If you can't trust your husband becuase he lied to you, get a marriage counselor because it seems like he's got a closet full of skeletons that you need to sift through before you'll ever be able to trust him again. Myspace and all sites like it are mainly JUST FOR SEX. Nobody can get online anymore and just ';make friends.'; People are always looking for more, and even with one person who has good intentions, it can turn sour when they meet ONE person who can change their mind. Be more careful in the future with the internet and your man.
why are you going through his things to begin with?

did he do something to make you not trust him?

and now that the trust is broken, do you know how hard it is to get that back?

good luck
if he is a cheater, why bother with him anymore?

like my 20 year old son told me, ';the internet is for SEX';.... maybe it is for men?
I would be pissed too if you have no trust then you don't have a relationship in the beginning
You have a problem, I would be mad about this too. Actually, my ex boyfriend did something like this...and he also had a separate IM account he forgot to log out of. I got home, went to check email and found this along with IM's from other girls. There were other things going in, trust was in question and this was the icing on the cake. Hence the word ex boyfriend.

    G'day mate,

I'd steer clear of putting games or similar on your website. Stick to what the business does.

I realise you intend on putting bug related material on your website, but it will diminish your objective.

This is coming from experience, I own a company that manages over 30 websites, such as http://www.888casino.com.au and http://www.visitmy.com.au

That's my opinion, but naturally the decision is yours.

Sims 2 PC/ the bugs/roaches are out of control?

calling the exterminator does nothing. the next day they are back! my sims are ALWAYS sick with the FLU, and i still have piles of trash that the sims aren't able to pick up which causes the bugs to keep coming back. what can i do?Sims 2 PC/ the bugs/roaches are out of control?
ctrl shift c (hold them down together) opens the cheat window at the top of the screen.

    type in

    moveobjects on

Pick up the trash and delete it.

open the cheat window again and type in

    moveobjects off

This turns the cheat off.Sims 2 PC/ the bugs/roaches are out of control?
Well, I've never had that happen to me personally, I always try to have a maid or butler to keep the houses clean but, if your sims can't pick up the trash and are too sick to kill the stupid vermin, try using the ';moveobjects on'; cheat and pick up the things yourself in build/buy mode and delete it, try the exterminator one more time and hire a maid for a day or two to clean up your house then fire the maid when they're done and your house should be clean and vermin free.
Maybe try hiring a maid to clean up the garbage? You can always fire the maid afterwards. That's what I used to do.

Edit: Does it do it in every lot? If it does there may be something wrong with your game. If it's just the one lot, try moving your family out and back in again... I know it's a pain.
They come back because of the trash. Hire the maid, she'll clean it up or influence a friend of your sims to clean if you don't want to waste money. Keep calling the exterminator so they'll go away. Or, use moveobjects on and delete them or boolprop or whatever.
You need to pick up the trash and the bugs won't come back. Make sure your house is clean. Hire a cleaning lady and then hire the exterminator.
why don't you just hire exterminator via phone??
when we were poor, in our old days my mom had tons of them and she bought this chinese roach chalk for like a dollar that got rid of every single one, they never came back

Is my apartment responsible for paying the pest control bill for bed bugs?

I just recently discovered my bed is infested with bed bugs. I've lived in my apartment for 3 yrs and have never had this problem. I researched this bug on the internet and read that most people get bugs from traveling and staying in a hotel or living in an apartment and the bug traveling through pipes, cracks, etc. Since I have not traveled or stayed in a hotel recently I can only guess they came from another tenant. Pest control came out to spray my house/room and left me with a bill of $200. The apartment manager said the apt. complex is not responsible for the bill because there is no way to prove the bed bugs came from another tenant or within the apt. somewhere. He ';thinks'; I brought them in from somewhere else. Is it my responsibility to pay this bill or should the apartment complex pay it? Thanks. Is my apartment responsible for paying the pest control bill for bed bugs?
Traveling is only the most common way to get these creatures. If you ever go over someone else's home and sit on their couch or bed or even carpet for that matter, you can get these bugs. Do you go ANYWHERE that may explain you picking up these bugs?

If not, the only other way to prove your case is to ask others living in your apartment building. If none of them have bed bugs, then the responsibility is yours. If others have bed bugs, then while I still don't see how this is your landlords fault, you may have a case for reimbursement.

We had a bad infestation, but finally we got rid of bed bugs with the magical powder after spending a lot of time and money on those ';UNPROFESSIONAL'; exterminators.

We did have a so-called ';professional'; exterminator but they had to come back several times because the bed bugs did not go away with the stuff that ';PRO'; did. And finally we fed up with the';PRO'; and tried sprays, foggers, and bomb..... but bed bugs were still biting us every night.

Then we found BedBugPowder from the site below. It is 100% natural power and is safe to humans and pets. Just apply it on the mattress and carpet in the infected room, and bed bugs are gone.

I could not believe the powder worked so efficiently after struggling with all the stuff that people said it should work.

The sprays do not work unless you spray directly on the bed bugs. And they are very good at hiding, so when you spray the stuff or either the professional guy do their stuff, bed bugs are hiding in the ';SAFE'; place and wait till night comes.

Go to the site below and you will learn a lot tips to get rid of bed bugs. And the powder does work!!! It is great and we have not had bedbug bites since we started using it.

I had a bed bug problem and fortunately got rid of it quickly. 2 sprays in 8 months is not enough. Find a GOOD exterminator that specializes in bed bugs. You will have to wash everything you own in hot water and pack it away in sealed bags while your home gets treated. They should vacuum, steam your furniture, and spray pesticide. You will need several follow up visits over the next month or two to make sure everything is gone. After the first treatment eggs will hatch and you'll need more treatments to get rid of the new ones. And a good exterminator will also have a guarantee so if the problem doesn't go away they will continue to treat your home until the bugs are gone. Pull your bed away from the wall and put double sided tape on the legs so bugs can't crawl up. Keep your bedding off the floor. Invest in bed bug proof mattress, box spring, and pillow covers (definitely worth the cost). And caulk all of the cracks in your home, since they can live in super tiny spaces. Caulking is probably the most important step! It's a huge pain and it will take over your life but at this point it sounds like you may have a major infestation on your hands. I was lucky enough to find it very early and get it taken care of. Keep in mind that you CAN'T go overboard in preparation for treatment of your home. When in doubt, wash it or caulk it.

    Good luck!

Bed bugs. pest control companty dilemma - 1 treatment or 2 treatments required?

Hi, I got a quote from 2 different pest control companies due to bedbugs my tenant found. One company said it is enough to come once and treat it once and gave lower price. another company said 2 treatments are required as first tretment will not kill bedbugs eggs. who is right? is 1 treatment or 2 tretments required? THANKS.Bed bugs. pest control companty dilemma - 1 treatment or 2 treatments required?
In my experience two or more treatments are usually required for bed bugs. The company that is only offering one treatment will most likely charge for a revisit, which makes it the same price as the other quote.Bed bugs. pest control companty dilemma - 1 treatment or 2 treatments required?
It depends on how bad the infestation is. We recently found bed bugs at work and it was treated with something that was supposed to last for 30days but 1 week later we found another LIVE one, so it was treated again. Also, another employee just recently found out that she has them and the exterminator that gave her the estimate said she must have gotten them in the past few weeks (probably from work aaagh) because her infestation was minimal and would only need to treat her 3 bedrooms and the hallway for about $1200.

Anyone ever use Bug Guys pest control in Pflugerville TX? Recommend it? why or why not?

Say hours are M-f 8-5 but always get answering machine. They show up unannounced. They have had to come out to retreat over %26amp; over but still no decrease in pests. I have been through 2 services technicians that have both said the owner Brandt has poor business ethics and they were leaving the company because of the poor way he handles the business %26amp; customers. The latest technician(a young man barely looked 18) showed up unannounced hoping I would not be home so he could service the yard with out my knowledge and then Brandt could charge me for it. When I told him I had not been contacted about the service nor did I want the service that day, he asked if he could go ahead and do it since he was here because if he doesnt do the service, he said ';his boss gets mad at him.'; My neighbors are also not happy and will be cancelling when one yr agreement runs out.

How Bugs and cockroach pests can be controlled in kitchens?

cockroaches are extremely adapt critters. You can bet that for every one you see there's 10 others that you don't. They can survive on a diet of almost anything including each other. Keep all your food in containers or in fridges. Clean up spills, do dishes right away, have a garbage with a lid and you might be able to control it some. Trick is, if you're in an apartment or semi, the critters travel very easily between the walls so the whole unit needs to be fumigated to be most effective. If you're living in close proximity to a place that sells or serves food, the problem is never going to go away so be warned. How Bugs and cockroach pests can be controlled in kitchens?
We use RAID in the pink/red bottle (no smell) and spray all doors and pest entries, as well as the baseboards at the bottoms of cabinets.

You can also put glue traps (especially the box shaped ones with roofs) down in dark corners to trap the ones already in the house. How Bugs and cockroach pests can be controlled in kitchens?
Get some spray and kill the little suckers
No need to think big.... it is easy just need to take responsibility of keeping the kitchen neat %26amp; clean.

All the eatable things should be kept air tight.

definitely when cockroaches not find any thing to eat in your kitchen they will move to your neighbourhood.
I am told in certain south Asian Countries, cockroaches are fried in oil and eaten like papads. I do not know whether this true, but am also equally told that the cockroaches develop a sense of fear and they never come anywhere near you.

This is not a jovial answer but answered in right earnest. Of course, in countries like India, people abhor even the sight of cockroaches. so, the best thing would be to call some pest controller, spray the pesticide, take care that no food product is being sprayed. Also close any gateway (portals) for the cockroaches to enter. do not allow remnants of food when you close your kitchen table for the day. Despite what you do, go to step 1.
    Spray hit
by adding pest control drug in white wash
Never have wood furniture in your kitchen, simple concept (wood+water and/or moisture)=food for cockroach and that鈥檚 reason how much ever you clean you can not get rid out of it.

Consider use of steel or aluminum for kitchen furniture 鈥?it is bit costlier but really worth鈥檚 it.

And yes when you start using newly made steel or aluminum furniture make sure you have cleaned up your kitchen at-lest @ 99% cockroach free.

Also best way to design a kitchen so that you get good amount of sunlight in kitchen -- that way you will see cockroach problem very very less intensive.
All cooked food items have to be tightly sealed and don't leave any hiding places for cockroaches !
    exterminator!!
Spread Boric powder in every nook %26amp; corner of your house.....every 15 day %26amp; you'll never have cockroaches for the rest of your life..:-)
call godrej or PCI pest control guys they will eradicate for u
Take two equal proportions of boric powder and skimmed milk powder; add a little sugar ; mix with water and make a dough. Make small balls like moth balls. Keep the balls in all the corners, under the wash sink, near the waste bins and at all other places
I've had the same problem at one time and basically what I did was seal the kitchen off set off about 3 bug bombs and wait about 2 days then when you return to open your kitchen beware of the smell and do a three time thorough cleaning with bleach or ammonia or some extra strong cleaner, spread some boric acid inside the cupboards where your food isn't going to touch any food products.
In the room were coachroaches are:- apply fevicol to all over the body wen coachroaches, insects will come there they will get pasted in to the body %26amp; hence will be controlled
Regularly clean kitchen.Try anti bug chalk once a month. It seems to work for me.Also do not forget to clean drains and sinks regularly.
everybody is face cockroach %26amp; bugs problem in their kitchen or in home, use a simple method to keep them away from your home, its very simple and cheap

    1. Take Boric acid (Powder shape and it is available at any chemist shop) %26amp; wheat flour in equal quantity

    2. Mix well to both, add water so that you can make small balls (size of black grams)

    3. spread these balls in your kitchen and all corners where cockroaches hide.

within one week you feel that your kitchen and home is free from cockroach %26amp; bugs
1.use cockroach trap for the sink outlet-instead of using ordinary gratings.

    3. keep your wooden cup-boards all ways in dry condition.

4.Keep your dust-bin must be covered and use cabbage bags properly.

    5.Keep everything clean.
Use suitable pesticide and block all big or small possible inlets of cockroach .You will find dramatic change.Hate cockroach the most.
There is a herbal powder not very much available in the market, but is very much helpful in containing the cockroaches and other pests in the kitchen. It is called ';COCKROACH VANISHIOR';. This should be mixed with water in a thick consistency and just tiny balls of the dough sticked here and there onto the corners inside the shelves not only in the kitchen, but also in the rooms where they are seen the most, for eg., closed shoe racks, drawers, etc. The effect is seen, not cockroaches, for more than 3 months. The process can be repeated once every 4 months or so. The packet costs Rs. 25.
    DOMESTICATE LIZARDS IN YOUR KITCHEN.

REMAIN FREE OF POLLUTION ALSO DUE TO SPRAYING OF INSECTICIDES!
use laxman rekha .its very effective in india..i have used for ten years ,,not a cockroach or bug disturbs me
You can fumigate %26amp; fumigate..%26amp; maybe never get rid of the roachs. Even if you move..you run the risk of taking a few along..Clean everywhere..under..behind, on top..they have to have food %26amp; water..I've seen some that I thought were frozen in an old apt bld..when it warmed up..away they went..All you can do is to control them..spray regularly..clean..clean..clean..%26amp; never leave any food stuff open..
avoid keeping any food uncovered.keep your kitchen clean.if there are any crevices, fill them for they live in them.if not possible, spray a pesticide on these crevices.it does help.and above all,if u keep ur kitchen clean, they themselves will keep away!
sad fact of life no matter how clean you are you going to have roaches but here are some tips before calling a pro. check under your house and see if it is moist. as most houses it is . so until you fix that problem roaches have a great life span . so go and get 2 bags of water softener salt per room and toss it out under your home . now pick up some seven dust and dust your entire home with it carpet , under your cushions , under your stove and frig and your washer and dryer . pay closer attention to your closet and top shelves that you cant reach now pack all of your dishes into plastic trash bags and put them back on the shelves and your silver wear any thing that you need to touch soon put it in bags . now unplug every electronic in your home like radios cordless phones microwave . roaches love those places it is warm and safe now put all of that into one small room and add a few extra bombs to that room and 2 bombs per room now go to your attic and put 4 up there and set them off and close the top then go through the house setting them off and closing the doors come back in about 4 hours and air out the house .

now in 2 weeks do this again. the new hatches will begin to show up . you will need only to use one per room and wont need to do the attic or take down your appliances and the seven dust will catch the poison so dont just get rid of it and it is great for the mites in your vacuum cleaner PS if you start dusting with WD40 roaches dont like it and go around like your cabinates with it and the leds of your furniture
1.construct kitchen where direct sunlight possible for maximum time.

2.keep kitchen dry/moisture free %26amp; never spread edibles , keep all the edibles in airtight container
Keep your kitchen Clean %26amp; away from food. Go outside for eating. Empty kitchen will always be Clean %26amp; away from bugs %26amp; cockroach. It is costiler but with 100% pest free.
    1. keep kitchen clean %26amp; dry more important

    2. fill the corners%26amp;tile gaps with cement or somthing else

    3. put the laxmanarekhas on corners of shelfs

    4. every 15 days clean the kitchen

    5. dont stock waste material in the kitchen
Add 2 to 3 drops of lime juice to boric powder and sprinkle the area where cockroaches move around and you will find that they will no more come into the kitchen
cockroaches n bugs can be controlled in kitchen by keepin ur kitchen neat n tidy always and u can keep the shell of an egg at the window of ur kitchen n prevent such reptiles entering the kitchen.

How do I control Box Elder Bugs? They are covering the outside walls around my front door!?

Is there a way to repel them or control them without killing them all? An exterminator said they could apply something, but it would only help, it wouldn't solve the problem. I don't remember what it was.

Thanks in advance. How do I control Box Elder Bugs? They are covering the outside walls around my front door!?
the only way to stop them is to remove the tree they are coming from...anything else be it commercial insecticide or home made insecticides with soaps only will take care of the portion that comes to the house, and there will be an endless supply of them as long as the source tree is nearbyHow do I control Box Elder Bugs? They are covering the outside walls around my front door!?
many times, the box elder actually comes in mulch that you pruchase from Home Depot or Lowe's. They LOVE mulch. An exterminator should be able to rid you of those. Go with a pest control company that has a money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied.
    soapy water controls them

Found Bed Bugs in my Apt. Should landlord pay for pest control?

It has been over 6 months that I moved into this Apartment. Recently, I found Bed Bugs.

When reported, the apt management says I have to pay for pest control treatment since it came from my old mattress. They showed some black spots on the Mattress to prove that this is the proof that Bed Bugs existed in this Mattress before

It is true that I purchased a used Mattress (private Party) but that was over 6 months back when I moved into the apt. And there have not been any manifestation of bed bugs up until now.

The lease contract does not say anything about this and Mass law says that Apt Management need to pay for pest control.

Q1. Do I need to pay or am I being ripped

Q2. I will be moving out in another 4 months or so, is it wise to pay now and then sue after I move out (and recover my security).Found Bed Bugs in my Apt. Should landlord pay for pest control?
I have a news flash for you. If you purchased a second-hand mattress that is probably where the bed bugs came from and the landlord of your apartment is NOT responsible for this. Bed bugs (their eggs) are too tiny to see and they take a while to hatch, thus they were probably there when you purchased the mattress from the other party. The apartment complex is NOT ripping you off as YOU undoubtedly brought in the bugs and they are NOT required to get rid of them! Sue them? For what? They are NOT at fault here. And guess what? Suing them will be VERY costly for you and very time consuming, If you could not afford a new mattress then believe me, you cannot afford an attorney to sue the apartment complex after you leave. I would get rid of the mattress pronto, pay to have some fumigation done, get another mattress (this itme a NEW one at a store) and call it a day. And, if you think this will be expensive, wait until you see what it costs you to sue them!Found Bed Bugs in my Apt. Should landlord pay for pest control?
Anyone visiting this thread, I have a update. I paid for the bedbug treatment and then moved out of the apartment after a few months. After move out, I sent a demand letter to Landlord asking for reimbursement of the cost else I wil sue him. LL promptly sent the money :)

    You should consult an attorney.
I am the owner of a pest control company in Chicago. I recently serviced ONE apartment in a huge complex and the complex definitely has to pay for it. At least here in Illinois. In our situation the tenant was only there for 1 month. I believe the tenant also brought them on their bedding, yet they were not responsible to pay for the problem.

I would think that they would want to get the problem immediatley since bed bugs multiply so fast and can cause extreme amounts of liability to them.

Conclusion: In our situation the landlord pays for the service. Do I care who pays? No! However it should get taken care of before it gets out of hand. We charged over $1100 for one single apartment.
Some major hotels in New York City have had bed bugs and I believe they were sued.

How do I get rid of bed bugs ? Without pest control ?

    Alright, this is a biggie.

A few months ago my 32 year old sister came from Las Vegas to she can live her life in SB with her four kids.

    And they're filthy.

They brought cockroaches from their old house...and then they brought lice, which my sister got. They live in a transition house right now. They had a big bed bug problem because people in the room before they moved into there had the bed bugs. So then they brought bed bugs to my mom's house.

And my Mom and sister have been dealing with those disgusting bugs for the past two months. It got bad enough for my Mom that she has a bad time sleeping, and she had to throw out her bed. Now she sleeps on a air mattress and still gets the bugs. She washes her sheets and everything, STILL BUGS.

Is there anyway that I can get rid of those disgusting bugs without pest control ?

Please. I hate those bugs, even though I do not have them in my room. Plus, I want my Mom getting a good sleep too. And my sister.

Thank you.How do I get rid of bed bugs ? Without pest control ?
This website from the University of California, Davis, has some ideas on how to control them. They do suggest a professional if it gets out of hand. If you do go for a professional, do not hesitate to see if they are licensed and to see how aware they are of ';integrated pest management'; which is a rather generic term for using pesticides only as a last resort and using management methods instead.

    Rat poison works wonders.
Clean every spec of duts, wash curtains, then use Borax (also known as Boratic Acid) powder. Cover the bed and carpet in it and let it sit at least 24 hours. Then vacume very well.

This is not a garentee, bed bugs get into the matress and it is nearly imposible to get them out. You may have not choice but to through out those matresses. Your mom may want to wear some DEET to bed until the problem is resolved.
Listen, from the lack of sleep and the ensuing lack of productivity, you're losing money in the long run. Get pest control and aggressively combat the buggers.
There is a spray you can buy at most any drug store that you can spray your mattress with. This is also availible in a fogger, I would recomend trying both.
    rat poison.
    Steam clean your bed throughly.

Steam your matress...both top and bottom...sides and all.

Spray lysol on it afterward....let air outside.

WASH everything that has touched the bed/beds in question.

    Better do the couches too.
There are ';natural'; ways to get rid of beg bugs without any harsh chemicals. Suggest you ';google';bed bug and read all info. Many types of bugs and mites can be causing the problem. Good Luck!

  • What should I do to kill bed bugs? or can i control bed bugs?

My wife and I are having a problem that she keeps getting bitten by something when we are in bed. But it has not affected me as much as she has. She is about go crazy right now. I asked one of my friend who in the past experienced the same situation and he told me that it would be by bed bugs and I should contact some like pest control professional or something. At this present, I am kinda lost. in fact, I don't know what to do. Perhaps I should have call the professionals but I kinda doubt it. So I'd like to get some information from you guys first and then I will decide what I am going to do.

Thank you in advance y'all. What should I do to kill bed bugs? or can i control bed bugs?
Hello there i'm so sorry to hear that this is happening to you. From what you are saying it does sound like bed bugs. The reason it is affecting your wife more is the fact that blood sucking insects are more attracted to the female hormones.

It seems as that you would like to try to control the bed bug problem before you call a professional right??

There are several different methods i've tried and i have to say its to your preference on which products and methods you use.

First of all for your mattress i advise you use either a natural product or a non residual product. Because it touches your sick and you sleep on it you do not want anything strong or that is residual and will remain in your bed for a long time. Usually using a spray type is good.

    Recommendations:

    - Bed Lam- an aerosol spray that can be used all through out the house and mattress.

-Steri Fab- a spray that can be sprayed everywhere also that focus on bed bug kill

-Rest Easy- Is an all natural spray that also comes in a travels size so that you can take it with you when your traveling so that you do not bring home bed bugs from the outside world to your home. It also comes in a cinnamon scent

Second is the dust method. If you look on the side s of the bed mattress there should be little round holes. If you pour a little bit of the dust into the inside of the holes the bed bug will die. The dust can also be used for a long the bed area and underneath the carpet as well. Especially if the bed is lined up against the wall.

    - Drione Dust or Mother Earth Dust (use a dusting tool.)

Then covering your mattress and box spring with encasement will prevent and eliminate bed bug and also help with allergy problems and dust mite problems. (ALLER ZIP PROTECT A BED ENCASEMENTS)

You can find all these products and much more at www.pestmall.com or www.doityourselfpest.com

What should I do to kill bed bugs? or can i control bed bugs?
Bed bugs hide out when they aren't actually in bed biting someone. They are small and hard to find. You might wash your sheets and see what you collect in the dryer filter.

Bed bugs are difficult to control. You need to hire a professional exterminator and your home may require more than one treatment.
You need to have someone come in and professionally kill them. They will hide in baseboards and cracks. They are very hard to kill. You won't be able to kill them without help. Save your wife the misery and the sooner the better.
Most people grew up never seeing or hearing of an actual bedbug, so one of the problems is that some people don't really believe it is happening. It's happening--huge. It's a major topic of discussion at all the hotel management conventions. I had a long conversation with my terminex guy about it--great new line of business for them because it is so difficult to treat. You may need to buy a new bed. Or at least get one of those allergic mattress covers--which still costs a bit. They hide in the cracks in furniture and baseboards.

People who travel are more likely to be affected in their home because bedbugs hitch a ride on luggage. Did you unpack your suitcase on the bed? If you are the one who travels for business you may have brought them home. Another big source is college dorms.

In short, you have my condolences.

    How to control bed bugs?

    Hey,

I stay in a rented house in London. All of a sudden there are like shitloads of bed bugs in my house and I am harassed to no limits. I cant sleep at nights coz I keep on scratching and then when I get up in the morning I have itchy feeling all over my body. I get huge scratches on the legs and hands and sometimes it bleeds when I get up in the morning. I cleaned my room and I put all my stuff in the sun to dry up. I emptied all the wooden furniture but the buggers find their way back in. We used to bug sprays but to no avail.

What can I do? What sprays r effective? Is there any long term solution?

A friend of mine had this problem. She had to throw out her mattress and also her couch. Also if there are any other tenants in the house they may also need to do the same.I would talk to the landlord especially if they have been there since you moved in.If they have been then he is responsible for getting rid of them. You will most likely need to bomb the whole house or call an exterminator. If there are more tenants you should get together with them and all do it on the same day or they may just come right back.Good luck with getting rid of the bugs. How to control bed bugs?

You cant do anything now unfortunately. But you can for next year. I hate those things, really really hate them! What they are ,are grubs that get into your lawn during the year, and are coming out to mate during the summer months. Get some grub control for your lawn and use it . I am using ,';Ortho Grub Control';.

What does one do to control his temper when others are bent upon bugging you for everything around you?

First, find a spot where you can be alone and think. Who specifically makes you angry? What behavior is making you angry? Is this person justified in any way for behaving the way they do towards you? If so, remedy that. (ie. if you have something that belongs to them then give it back, no uestions asked.) Do this with every person you can think of that is getting under your skin. Take a few minutes to look at yourself. What behaviors do you have that indicate to this person that you need to be ';bugged';. Learn to cultivate an image of a responsible person who deserves respect. Project yourself as someone who makes appropriate decisions. As others begin to realize this perception of you they will no longer feel the need to bug you. What does one do to control his temper when others are bent upon bugging you for everything around you?

What is the best, most effective way to control bugs [mostly mosquitoes]?

I live by a lake. Please Help! What is the best, most effective way to control bugs [mostly mosquitoes]?
    There is no set answer.

I lived right on a lake in Michigan, and we had mosquitos too. We built a screen house to sit in at night. And our patio faced the lake which was also screened in. I realize this is not optimum, but on the difficult nights it keeps you outside.

I'm not big on DEET. It has been proven to be a CNS depressant, and causes other problems.

There is a natrual method that is safe, using Catnip oil, that is at least as effective as DEET. Research studies at Iowa State University, in which Catnip oil was found to be 10 times more effective than DEET.

Here is one branded product, but you can make your own.

    http://altnature.com/gallery/catnip_mosq鈥?/a>

Nature's Herbal Natural Mosquito %26amp; Insect Shield contains 100% pure Catnip oil (nepetalactone), 100% pure Pennyroyal oil (known to repel biting insects), 100% pure Rosemary oil and Pure Vegetable Glycerin, used to keep the product on the skin for up to 8 hours

Also citronella candles are another option along with using zappers.

I have heard anectodal stories about using Fabric softener sheets. But I have no proof they reall work.

You are NOT going to win the battle against Mosquitos, so you have to live with them , or coexist. These ideas will help you do that. What is the best, most effective way to control bugs [mostly mosquitoes]?
bats-Put up bats houses around If you read up on bats you will see that bats eat a tremendous amount of bugs in a nite they are free and natural there are also some plants that help with repelling mosquito's--talk to your local nursery--
Gobble them up and say SEE! I too like blood. That will scare the bugs away.
Spraying with pesticide with a pump sprayer is the best method. Chemicals like malathion and cyrethrin work very good. You can find special formulations at feed stores and retailers like Lowe's and Walmart. Be sure to read the label for instructions but they chemicals are relatively safe, especially cytrethrin(Bayer makes it, yes the bayer that makes aspirin). Also be sure no to leave standing water for them to breed.
get the little tablet to put in and around your home
    skeeter coils
I bought a hand spray system that uses a propane burner and sprays the misquitto spray in a fog. But I have also used the canned kind at the store. The secret is to spray them in the morning when they are still in the bushes and in the grass. Then, again in the afternoon, although I admit that I am not sure that the afternoon spray is necessary.

The morning spray seems to keep them away for at least two weeks, sometimes much longer. My neighbors have had no success with the automatic systems. I hope this helps!!!
Bounce sheets - rub one on exposed skin. It's healthier than DEET containing repellent. You can also use citronella oil (can get from pharmacy), and mix it with baby oil, or Avon skin-so-soft. Mossies hate that stuff.

Burn citronella candles or mosquito coils.

(The bounce sheet thing works the best).
Jake living next to the lake should get himself a 24 hr Mosquito Mat/coil or Liquid. Also get some mosquito nets.

Keep your doors and windows closed when sleeping.
Avon makes a skin lotion, I think it's called skin so soft. Ask a near by Avon dealer and she'll be able to get you the right stuff, It helps keep bugs away.

    Natural Pest Control (pill bugs)?

I have pill bugs and sow bugs in my strawberry patch. They are getting to the strawberries that are beginning to ripen and chewing holes in the bottom. I know that crushed egg shells get rid of slugs and marigolds keep the rabbits at bay but I can't find anything about these little buggers. Help!Natural Pest Control (pill bugs)?
Good luck! Pillbugs/sow bugs are suppose to stay in the soil and eat the organic matter thus breaking it down.......but who can blame them for wanting a nice soft strawberry instead?

You need to isolate your berries from soil moisture. Just a straw mulch may not be enough.......you may have to get creative........?? elevating the fruit onto something ?? roof shingles??

I'm afraid diatomaceous earth won't help much if the soil remains wet as it will just melt in.

Pro growers use plastic over their beds and plant in very small holes, then allowing the berries to ripen isolated from the soil.

Pill bug/ sow bugs are considered beneficial......yeah right! Not in my garden.

Should landlords pay for bed bugs pest control treatmens?

Every State has its own laws, I live in Florida and all of my leases state, '; the premises was vermin and rodent free at the time the Tenant moved in'; which allows me to decline the request to pay for any type of extermination. Read your lease carefully and check with your State laws. Good LuckShould landlords pay for bed bugs pest control treatmens?
A friend told me about an issue like this happening near his University in Ohio. It was an off-campus apartment. From what I understand, the landlord did pay for the cleaning. The residents just had to move all the stuff and stay out of the apts during the cleaningShould landlords pay for bed bugs pest control treatmens?
I don't know of any landlord tenant law that says that they don't have to maintain a healthy environment for the tenant so I would say that they do.
Yes,that's there job it would be different if you own it.Since you are a tenant he has to provide these services to you and if you mention it to him and he does nothing report his a double hockey sticks.
Check with your states rental laws. Some states or counties have made it a law where the landlord or realtor is responsible for pest control of the property.
I think that would depend on if the landlord was providing the beding.
The local rental laws may shed some light. Also check your lease. My lease specifically says that tenants habve to pay for pest removal. Yours may differ.

How to get rid of bed bugs in my housw india, i jave tried all pest control all?

    Step I : Pre-treatment Procedures

    Reduce clutter to inspection easier.

If you dismantle the bed frames, you may expose additional bedbug hiding sites.

Remove drawers from desks and dressers and turn furniture over, if possible, to inspect and clean all hiding spots.

Stand up the box spring and shine a flashlight through the gauze fabric to expose bed bugs.If the fabric is torn ( possible hiding place), remove fabric to prepare for spraying.

Caulk and seal all holes where pipes and wires penetrate walls and floor, and fill cracks around baseboards and moldings to further reduce harborages.

Since infested garments and bed linen can't be treated with insecticide they will need to be laundered in hot water (120掳F minimum). If washing is not available, sometimes heating the garments or bed linen for several minutes in a clothes dryer may work.

Thoroughly clean the infested rooms .Scrub infested surfaces with a stiff brush to dislodge eggs.

Vacuum in area of bed bug harborages with an vacuum attachment. Vacuum along baseboards, nearby furniture, bed stands, rails, headboards, footboards, bed seams, tufts, buttons, edges of the bedding as well as the edges of the carpets(particularly along the tack strips) are key areas to vacuum. A good vacuum cleaning job may remove particles from cracks and crevices to encourage greater insecticide penetration.

Discard vacuum cleaner bag in a sealed plastic bag when finished.

Caulk cracks and crevices in the building exterior and also repair or screen openings to exclude birds, bats, and rodents that can serve as alternate hosts for bed bugs. How to get rid of bed bugs in my housw india, i jave tried all pest control all?
    Reduce clutter and unwanted things.

Thoroughly wash all bedsheets, blankets in hot water.

Try using white bedsheets and blankets.

Put all mattresses in sunlight for at least 3-4 days during noon hours.

    Reduce the cracks/gaps in bed.

Clean all furniture thoroughly with cloth especially dipped in tobacco/neem water.

If possible do the sunlight treatment to furniture and bed too.

Avoid darkness inside the room during daytime, the more sunlight the less pests/insects.

Sprinkle dry tulsi/neem leaf powder in corners of bed where normally bed bugs live and thrive.

There might also be available some locally made concoctions in your city........but they usually tend to have a very bad and strong odour and might be harmful even to oneself........therefore its always better to hire a known and reliable professional.
bed bugs are like vampire will get u while you sleep. get rid of your bed, sofa ecc... not impossible but ....

They sell a matress cover to use for six months but they come back after one year .. too many eggs in the material ..good luck
there few tips to avoid bugs, like kerosene,or best way you keep some cockroaches b cos they eat bugs its proven remedy.
Put the mattresses and pillows out in the sun - full sun, for a few days. Remember to turn over every day. Thoroughly spray the entire bed frame with insect spray, preferably kerosene based. Wash all the sheets, covers, pillow cases and keep them in the sun too. When you put everything back on the bed keep a few garlic cloves and neem leaves between the bed frame and mattress, and keep neem leaves between the mattress and sheet. Regularly wash all sheets, pillow cases etc and regularly put them out in the sun. You can also spray insect killer regularly but you will be inhaling those same toxic fumes which is not a particularly good idea.

If all else fails, rub your entire body with a little neem oil mixed in coconut oil before you sleep. It stinks but bed bugs, mosquitoes etc will never bite you. Good luck.
    Buy a new bed!
you can't get rid of bed bugs, you have to buy a new bed
Try ';Metacid'; or ';ROGER';, available with agri-pesticide sellers. Generally not sold to public openly.

Dilute this with kerosene in the proportion of 1:8.

Keep all the kitchen items, food things, drinking water away from home.

Spray with hand pump. Close all the door and windows for 3 hours. All the hidden bugs, insects will vanish. Remember this will have a strong odour for few days.

Maintain to wash your hands thoroughly before taking any food for few days.

Metacid is poisonous. Handle it carefully, keep away from reach of children, discord the remaining pesticide carefully. Any carelessness will lead to legal problems, beware!

Has anyone bought the new TYCO N-SECT remote controlled robot bug toy?

If so, how is it? Is it worth the money? My son wants one, and I was thinking of getting it for him for christmas, but I'm afraid he'll use it a few times and get bored of it. At $100 a pop, it seems like a waste, unless I hear some excellent reviews.Has anyone bought the new TYCO N-SECT remote controlled robot bug toy?
i have it and i think it is awsome!!! it is not a waist but just so you klnow, it makes a loud noise when it's walking and when it's firing and, when you buy it, the eyes will flash red, so that means charge it. it comes with all batteries even for the controller! i say get it.

Pest control question....how to get rid of little black flying bugs?

They arent flies, more like gnats but completely irritating. We had a broken window that we assume they came in through, and now we cant get rid of them. Is fly paper a good idea? They are everywhere and it is absolutely disgusting!Pest control question....how to get rid of little black flying bugs?
Fly paper is good. Poison is good (get out of the house to do that one).

The first step though, of course, is to close/fix the window!Pest control question....how to get rid of little black flying bugs?

The easiest although not the cheapest method is to replace the bed and the carpetHow do i get rid off a bed bugs on my bed? raid, pest control and other insectiside not works. any suggestion?
    napalm !!
Vacuum your bed, Ive heard it works, but never had the problem. Wash your sheets in hot water, and I would use bleach too if they're light colored. Lots of luck
Buy a new bed and get your floors shampooed, get rid of your sheets etc
They are not on your bed. They are in the walls and in dark crevices, they only come out when it's dark, get into your bed and bite you. It's a serious problem. Best tip - picked up from foreign travel is: get a bar of soap and wet it. Throw back your covers quickly and, when the little devils are highlighted against the sheet, quickly slap them with the soap, before they run for cover. They will stick to the soap. Crush them and flush them.
i would suggest getting a new matress,

    or a new bed

if you wash your bedding thourouly once a week or 2 weeks it shall stay in good condition
vacuum, a lot. get a plastic cover like bed wetters get and spray the cover (inside) then place on bed. New sheets on a ridiculously high level like every day.
    take a shower

  • I have alot of bugs in my house is pest control required or will they die when winter comes?

i have bugs everywhere in my new house and i wanna get rid of them i just want to get rid of the bugs in the first floor. but i heard pest control costs alot of money. will it cost alot of money if i have 1kitchen 3bedrooms 1hall 1 livingroom. and i think there are alot of bugs in that vent thinge (my house has built in ac/heater but i just use the other ac that u have to put in the windows. anyways will these bugs die when winter starts? because once their dead ill just spray raid around my house so they cant get in cuz like i frikken have 500 ants in the back of my computer and tvI have alot of bugs in my house is pest control required or will they die when winter comes?
To get rid of ants... almost all kinds of ants... in less than a week, go to a home supply store like Lowe's or home depot and buy yourself a bottle of Terro, the clear liquid form. Take it home and set it out where ever the ants are coming through. At first it will look like an ant mecca but within a couple of days there will be very few left. If you keep getting infestations, just keep going with it. Eventually you will wipe them out. Terro also has this stuff that you can sprinkle on your lawn outside the perimeter of your house and that is supposed to work decent too though I never had to resort to that. And if this doesn't work, then maybe you will have to exterminate. But if worked for me. By the way, keep your pets and kids (if you have) as far away from Terro as you can. Don't let them eat it.I have alot of bugs in my house is pest control required or will they die when winter comes?
Trust me, they'll want to be inside even more when its freezing outside and you have a toasty house to live in
For about $25, you can get a gallon of Bayer Advanced Pest Control at Home Depot. I rehabbed a house that was crawling with bugs. It had no windows on it when I started, and had been that way for months. I used about a quarter of the gallon, and I have NO bugs now. I didn't even spray the inside of the house, except the kitchen. I just sprayed the outside and the basement. In two days, no bugs.

    Good luck.
You can't outlive the insects, they've been around since the dinosaurs.

If you want to spray with raid, your only killing what you see, there's ten times the amount you don't see, you have to go where they live.

The one way to do this is with an exterminator. They're not as expensive as you think and, they make it a three to four trip ordeal to make sure and get all pupae and eggs so, your insect free in six to eight weeks. Call them and see.
They will die in time, and when it is winter fewer bugs will be active and won't come in from outside. So you will have fewer bugs inside. Spray insecticide outside by the windows and doors and reapply it periodically, and the number of bugs that come inside will be drastically reduced.

Bed bugs. pest control companty dilemma - 1 treatment or 2 treatments required?

Hi, I got a quote from 2 different pest control companies due to bedbugs my tenant found. One company said it is enough to come once and treat it once and gave lower price. another company said 2 treatments are required as first tretment will not kill bedbugs eggs. who is right? is 1 treatment or 2 tretments required? THANKS.Bed bugs. pest control companty dilemma - 1 treatment or 2 treatments required?
i have the same problem in my home right now. i called several different places for quotes. all of them told me that it take at least two treatments and is expensive. the lowest price i received was for 700$ and that was for each visit. my son was told the same thing for his house when he checked with different pest control companies.

Why if there's a (new) Windows bug, it often allows anyone to take over control of your PC?

Shouldn't it be, per default, that if there's a bug, the whole program is caught in a sandbox or is just terminated? Security is even more important than stability, so even a terminated program is better than to allow a buggy unsecure program to continue to run.

Is it a problem because Windows isn't build up in independant modules like Linux?

Is it because Windows software is closed source, so that no 3rd party can check for errors?

Is it because there are generally running too much backgroundprocesses/services?

Is it a combination of those, or is there another big factor?

Why is it that, after the big increase of Vista usage in the Netherlands, suddenly the number of botnetted PC's also increased big? Is it because Vista is less secure than XP?

Maybe they paid too much attention to lock in strategies and eyecandy instead of security?

When is this big Windows mess f-i-n-a-l-l-y gonna end??Why if there's a (new) Windows bug, it often allows anyone to take over control of your PC?
If someone can trigger a buffer overflow in a program or process they can gain access outside of the program. In linux everything by default runs with limited permissions so there is nothing anyone can really do. In linux you have to SUDO yourself permissions, In windows everyone is very lazy and just runs with Full Admin privileges so all processes have full system access.

About how much is it to have pest control come and spray for bugs a couple times a year?

Mild - Up to $150 for a couple of times a year

Severe - Up to $300 for a couple of times a year

    Depends on the company too.

I paid $19 a month for once a month treatment in Florida. They also came back out during the month if I had more problems, without charging.
Too much! They do nothing but suck your bank account dry. Plant insect repelling plants around your home when the weather is good and keep eucalyptus around the house. Check the net for natural insect repellents.
it depends on where you live and who you use. I live in AZ and it costs me 55$ every 3 months
I have a guy come the 1st of every month and its $25 a month. He sprays inside and outside and does a great job. We see a lot of dead bugs outside days after he leaves.

Plants with white waxy substance in soil along with bugs. Non chemical control?

In the soil there is a waxy substance that has aphid like insects with-in it. I believe they are root aphids, and can control them with an insecticide, but in the early spring they seem to spread to other areas. how do they come into our nursery? And non-chemical control?Plants with white waxy substance in soil along with bugs. Non chemical control?
You've probably gotten them from another nursery. I would look into where you are getting your plants and soil from and maybe find an alternative place to buy.Plants with white waxy substance in soil along with bugs. Non chemical control?
spider mites , get some dish soap and water in a spray bottle it will get rid of them plus it relieves the surface tension of the soil make sure the soap has phosphorus

I have drain flies or bugs coming up my drains especially the kitchen. Even the pest control guy cant get rid?

They're still all over my sinks, especially the kitchen sink.I have drain flies or bugs coming up my drains especially the kitchen. Even the pest control guy cant get rid?
Try using boiling water in the drain after you use the baking soda and vinegar. That is what worked best for us to keep them out.

I use this stuff called ';Works'; it's the most effective cheap stuff I use in the house. Because of the well water this Sh*t will kill anything. You will have to open all the windows because this stuff is as harsh as harsh gets. It's actual bathroom cleaner but it will work. you can get it at WalMart for under a buck I think.. Make sure you use rubber gloves and what ever you do don't breath this SH*T in!!! Oh and it has a chemical reaction to metal but other than that you should be fine!!! Any other questions email me!!!
Put some elmers glue with a litter water on a strong plate. Place by the sinks.

Put some soapy water in the sinks.

Put some vinegar and soda down your drains.

Use some lemon or orange spray.

it depends on the pest you were having treated...if it was cock roaches he may of used a product that contained a flushing agent that stirred them up. If you had a remote control that could shrink you ex/exes down to the size of a bug would you use it?

Describe your ultimate revenge? If you had a remote control that could shrink you ex/exes down to the size of a bug would you use it?
I would use the remote and put him down to the size of a bug, and then take my shoes, and rub and grind him into the dirt, and have all the birds in my yard eat their ';food'; and then they can relieve themselves on a car hood where he would be smeered all over the windshield.

Then the car owner would clean their windshield, and his stuff would still be all over the ground. If you had a remote control that could shrink you ex/exes down to the size of a bug would you use it?
ummmmm, nah. I think as revenge, I wouldn't cause harm, I think he deserves a punch in the face, seeing as he hit me before. But I think a good route to go would be for him to see that I am doing fine and financially stable (which i am), when he blamed me for all our problems and his for not doing anything in his life. For him to see that it was him holding me back by abuse, not me making him a loser.

That or yeah, punch in the face.
    One word.....*POOF*
Id use it to enlarge your brain and shrink the amount of acid you did in the 60s.
I would use it! only temporarily! If you go down the road of revenge as they say you better dig 2 graves!!
NO I dont waste my time thinking about ex's

    get a life
nah...i like to see them bumbling around life a life size making a fool of themselves....much better entertainment...then i realize that they are crazier than me...
I am friends with all of my X's so there is not need for t he use of a remote that which you are describing. Sorry you are having a tough time. God bless****
I would like to use that
Sorry, but I wouldn't bother to waste mine time on my ex, I wasted enough of my life on him already.

I got over it when I decided to file for divorce, for me that was my closure. My revenge if you even want to call it that was telling him that I was through with him and all of his c**p.

I filed for divorce in 1991, on my Birthday. And it was the best gift that I've ever given to my self. My ex was an alcoholic who was verbally abusive, a person who didn't care about any one buy him self.

I made up my mind that I wasn't gong to be angry or even to hate him. I just want my life back, so that I could be happy. The only way to have peace in your life is to forgive the person for what they did, you feel so much better when you do this.

You don't have to forget what the person did to you, but you need to forgive it. Because when you are able to forgive them, you give your self permission to move on. You allow your self to let the past be the past and you won't find your self beating a dead issue over and over again in your mind.

It just feels better to be happy and to smile, and have as my joy in my life as I can. The best revenge is to live well, be at peace with in your self.

  • Is it my birth control? Is it a possible bug? Or is it a possible pregnany?

Okay, I'm on birth control for 3 reasons:

    1. I need it to regulate my extremely irregular period (I missed it completely for five years)

    2. It is helping me to control and minimize the MANY cysts I have in my ovaries. With time, they will all go away (so the doctor says)

    and

    3. To not get pregnant

I've been on birth control close to a year now. My doctor recently changed my pill Nora Be to Microgestin, which has more estrogen.

I've been on Microgestin for almost 2 weeks now (and I have 2 more weeks left) but I noticed since week ONE, I changed BIG time.

I'm a happy, free spirited, optimistic ray of sunshine. I'm never sad, or angry, or sick.

and NOW (since I've been on the new birth control)

    I'm:

    - Moody

    - More prone to irritability

    - I have more acne

    - My vision and speech has changed very very very slightly

    - My legs and feet fall asleep faster than they used to

    - I get headaches

    - I feel nauseous

    - I'm spotting on and off

-and last but not least I have no sexual urges of any kind. I don't even think, or care about it.

The thing is, I recently had unprotected sex ONCE

(and I'm very sure he DID NOT ejaculate in me)

...and 5 days later, my stomach's been feeling a tad bit off, just a little bit on and off. And when it is feeling off, it's this feeling that's like ';Am I coming down with something? Did I catch something? I'm not entirely sure...'; It's a feeling of 5% queasyness.

In fact, I'm even spotting on and off right now.

This DOES NOT mean I'm pregnant right???

Is it a bug? My classmate who practically sits next to me openly said that his sister just recovered from swine flu...

or is it just my birth control that's causing my 5% feeling of nausea?

I should mention that I stress and get paranoid rather easily.

Please help! Thanks :)Is it my birth control? Is it a possible bug? Or is it a possible pregnany?
5 days would be too soon for pregnancy symptoms, alot of those symptoms can be contributed to the new birth control. I would talk to your doctor, the estrogen level may be too high.

Is there a way to control bed bugs other than chemicals?

Those things are indestructible. Don't waste your time with home remedies.....if you have them its just worth it to pay a pest control company to come out and take care of them. I was just wondering, because there has to be some way to do it. It would be cool!Do we have the technology of radio controlled flying objects that have bug wings??
If, by ';bug wings';, you mean wings which beat like a bird's or insect's, then the answer to your question is yes.

It's called an ornithopter.Do we have the technology of radio controlled flying objects that have bug wings??
YES! Tested successfully, but no great distance.

    Actually fly.

The issue is ample battery power. ';Flies';, ';butter flies';, and ';roaches'; have been tested. Not ample power for the size. And they are ';bugged';.
like a microphone or something so you could be a fly and spy on someone? unless you got swatted :()

Bed bugs are fairly easy to kill and control, but if you keep getting them back, you might check your neighbors if you live in an apt.

    I recommend a website called www.deadbedbugs.com

They have products that work great and the staff is very knowledgeable. Their system is also guaranteed.

check it out. www.deadbedbugs.comHow can I control bed bugs?
This isn't a joke but I would say a new mattress.
they hide and only come out in the dark, getting a new mattress will not get rid of them, going to someone else's house or sleeping on the couch will only get them to move with you

go to the hardware store and get a spray and kill all the bugs around your house... then scrub your house, walls, floors, everything... wash your curtains and sheets... then get mattress covers, the plastic kind, like for kids that wet the bed, and keep it covered for a while

Do door to door pest control guys leave bugs if you don't sign up?

This is probably me thinking too much into it, but we got a LOT of new bugs after we told the pest control guy we didn't want to sign a contract.Do door to door pest control guys leave bugs if you don't sign up?
Most legitimate pest control businesses that I know of don't

go door to door to get new customers. But there are a lot of

scam or ';gypsy'; companies that do go door to door with

fake businesses....like pest control, painting or roofing or

driveway repair companies. I have heard of these scam

companies actually letting bugs loose to prove to you that

you need their business, they then spray ';poison'; (usually

just water) around and then take your money. So I would

be a little suspicious of the door to door people.Do door to door pest control guys leave bugs if you don't sign up?
Not usually. My dad owns a pest patrol and he never leaves bugs.
    I hope you don't vote..
You should have gotten his information, most cities require anything door to door to have a permit, and he could have been defrauding you.
I doubt if he would go to the trouble of collecting bugs to leave for people who don't sign up with him, but it's possible. If you want to get back at him a little then call him up and say that a lot of bugs showed up after you turned him down, but you couldn't find his number at that time so you called a competitor and signed a contract with them instead.
    I always did. :-)

  • How do you get rid of or control bed bugs?

Reducing clutter is a necessity. Belongings strewn about rooms afford many places for bed bugs to hide, and impedes inspection and treatment. Infested bedding and garments will need to be bagged and laundered (120掳F minimum), or discarded since these items cannot be treated with insecticides. Smaller items that cannot be laundered can sometimes be de-infested by heatingfor several minutes in a clothes dryer. Other items can be wrapped in plastic and placed in a hot, sunny location for at least a few days (the 120掳F minimum target temperature should be monitored in the centermost location with a thermometer). Bedbugs also succumb to cold temperatures below 32掳 F, but the chilling period must be maintained for at least two weeks. Attempts to rid an entire home or apartment of bed bugs by raising or lowering the thermostat will be entirely unsuccessful. Most housecleaning measures are of little benefit in bed bug management. Site-specific vacuuming, however, can help remove some of the bugs before treatment with insecticides. Bed bugs (especially the eggs) can be difficult to dislodge. Optimum results will be achieved by moving and scraping the end of the suction wand along infested areas such as seams, tufts and edges of bedding, and the perimeter edge of wall-to-wall carpets. Afterward, dispose of the vacuum contents in a sealed trash bag. Steam cleaning of carpets may be helpful for killing bugs and eggs that vacuuming may have missed.

While the former measures are helpful, insecticides are important for bed bug elimination. Pest control professionals treat using a variety of low-odor sprays, dusts, and aerosols. (Baits designed to control ants and cockroaches are ineffective). Application entails treating all areas where the bugs are discovered, or tend to crawl or hide. Some bed bug species are parasites of bats or birds, and may bite people if the wild hosts are no longer available. If bat bugs or bird bugs are involved, roosting and nesting sites should also be treated and the animals excluded from the building.

There is an awesome site that goes into How Infestations Originate, Controlling Infestations, Treatment Procedures, and Avoiding Infestations. Read about it here: http://www.uky.edu/Ag/Entomology/entfact鈥?/a>
