it depends on the pest you were having treated...if it was cock roaches he may of used a product that contained a flushing agent that stirred them up. My personal approach is less of those type of products and more of a bait attack, but it does show you he was there. Sometimes the products that flush can move them into new areas, give it 10 -14 days if you can and you will be able to tell if he needs to come back.The pest control guy came today and now I see more bugs than ever! Yes,it will settle down in 24 hours or soThey know their time is limited, lol.
Sometimes they bring in a few for seed..But not to worry...he'll be back.
