Trick is, if you're in an apartment or semi, the critters travel very easily between the walls so the whole unit needs to be fumigated to be most effective. I am told in certain south Asian Countries, cockroaches are fried in oil and eaten like papads. I do not know whether this true, but am also equally told that the cockroaches develop a sense of fear and they never come anywhere near you.


This is not a jovial answer but answered in right earnest. Of course, in countries like India, people abhor even the sight of cockroaches. so, the best thing would be to call some pest controller, spray the pesticide, take care that no food product is being sprayed. Also close any gateway (portals) for the cockroaches to enter. do not allow remnants of food when you close your kitchen table for the day. Despite what you do, go to step 1.

All cooked food items have to be tightly sealed and don't leave any hiding places for cockroaches !

Take two equal proportions of boric powder and skimmed milk powder; add a little sugar ; mix with water and make a dough. Make small balls like moth balls. Keep the balls in all the corners, under the wash sink,near the waste bins and at all other places
I've had the same problem at one time and basically what I did was seal the kitchen off set off about 3 bug bombs and wait about 2 days then when you return to open your kitchen beware of the smell and do a three time thorough cleaning with bleach or ammonia or some extra strong cleaner, spread some boric acid inside the cupboards where your food isn't going to touch any food products.

Regularly clean kitchen.Try anti bug chalk once a month. It seems to work for me.Also do not forget to clean drains and sinks regularly.

There is a herbal powder not very much available in the market, but is very much helpful in containing the cockroaches and other pests in the kitchen. It is called ';COCKROACH VANISHIOR';. This should be mixed with water in a thick consistency and just tiny balls of the dough sticked here and there onto the corners inside the shelves not only in the kitchen, but also in the rooms where they are seen the most, for eg., closed shoe racks, drawers, etc. The effect is seen, not cockroaches, for more than 3 months. You can fumigate %26amp; fumigate..%26amp; maybe never get rid of the roachs. Even if you move..you run the risk of taking a few along..Clean everywhere..under..behind, on top..they have to have food %26amp; water..I've seen some that I thought were frozen in an old apt bld..when it warmed up..away they went..All you can do is to control them..spray regularly..clean..clean..clean..%26amp; never leave any food stuff open..
avoid keeping any food uncovered.keep your kitchen clean.if there are any crevices,fill them for they live in them.if not possible,spray a pesticide on these crevices.it does help.and above all,if u keep ur kitchen clean,they themselves will keep away!
sad fact of life no matter how clean you are you going to have roaches but here are some tips before calling a pro. check under your house and see if it is moist. as most houses it is . so until you fix that problem roaches have a great life span . so go and get 2 bags of water softener salt per room and toss it out under your home . now pick up some seven dust and dust your entire home with it carpet , under your cushions , under your stove and frig and your washer and dryer . pay closer attention to your closet and top shelves that you cant reach now pack all of your dishes into plastic trash bags and put them back on the shelves and your silver wear any thing that you need to touch soon put it in bags . now unplug every electronic in your home like radios cordless phones microwave . roaches love those places it is warm and safe now put all of that into one small room and add a few extra bombs to that room and 2 bombs per room now go to your attic and put 4 up there and set them off and close the top then go through the house setting them off and closing the doors come back in about 4 hours and air out the house .


now in 2 weeks do this again. the new hatches will begin to show up . you will need only to use one per room and wont need to do the attic or take down your appliances and the seven dust will catch the poison so dont just get rid of it and it is great for the mites in your vacuum cleaner PS if you start dusting with WD40 roaches dont like it and go around like your cabinates with it and the leds of your furniture
