i have around 30 potted vegetable plants of different varieties, recently they got infested with mealy bug.
i used insecticide like monocrotophos ,but the problem reappears after 1 week.i cant afford to buy insecticides all the time.
are there any items available at home that can be used to stop such mealy bug infestation .How to control mealy bug using items available at home.?
If you can not afford to buy an insecticide, get some plain rubbing alcohol and q-tips.
Dip the q-tip in the alcohol and squish the bugs with it. You will need to repeat this every few days - a tedious job.How to control mealy bug using items available at home.?
If they are in your soil, you can put a dab of rubbing alcohol in a little water and spray the top soil.
For the plants, put a tiny bit of lemon joy dish soap in water and spray.
3 tablespoons of soap to a gallon of water.
You could see what it does to one plant first.
